I can't help but think that your concern about bodyfat gain is translating into holding you back, in the gym.
If you cause wear and tear to your body(such as working out), your body craves for repair materials. You either must supply the raw materials, or your body will just break down.
I commented upon your diet over in the Extreme forum. If you aren't making gains with your present diet, how do you think you will change the situation by using steroids? It's no miracle. All steroids do is make a pre-existing successful program more efficient. Steroids do not turn a stagnant or ineffective program into a successful one.
So, you need to do some thinking about matters other than steroids, and turn your current program's results around. _________________ I don't need you to remind me of my age. I have a bladder to do that for me.

I am not overly concerned about my body fat.
Maybe the lack of carbs is holding me back a little..but that woudl just be muscle gain i think no? I am usualyl getting around 200 gr of carbs a day. Its not like i am starving either, i am full all the time.
You need to remember that my body llloooove carbs, and converts the little bastards to fat extremly fast.
The only reason why i am running is for the joy of running in the Mudrun. It looks fun as hell. And its only once a week training at a really slow pace.
I was thinking of adding sprint training (20 minutes tops) to increase my speed, but that would only be twice a week tops...maybe once. Depends on how my legs feel from all the other training.
But don;t steriod also speed things up? Hey if you think i can get really strong and fast on my own then by all means I do not want to waste the money on juice...but find me a program that work, and a diet
Its fustrating trying so many and seeing little results, or results creep along. I have talked abotu switchign up my program already, and i am just waiting on a friedn to help me with that...in the mean time i am staying with Westside.
damn sorry of this sounds defensive...its tooo early for me _________________ "Women might be able to fake orgasms. But men can fake a whole relationship."

Yes, steroids do speed things up. But you have to have already gotten into a successful program. If you are going nowhere, then steroids will not get you going. I'm not trying to get on you about AAS. I just don't want to see you fall into the trap that so many fall into: that all you need is the juice. These are the people who never make any progress, unless they are on the juice. They come off, once in a while, and they stop dead. Lots of them decide to never come off. Still others just stop training, unless they are on a cycle. But all of this type generally lose their gains from being on, once they come off, because whatever it is they are doing in the gym is fundamentally not working for them. They are just using the steroids as a crutch.
It usually takes years to figure out what sort of program gives you the results you are looking for. Some, here, will recommend certain books which have methods to help you shorten the process, and that works for some. But the common denominator is that you have to discover the way for yourself.
Have faith and be patient. _________________ I don't need you to remind me of my age. I have a bladder to do that for me.

Hey, glad it worked for you!
No, I haven't tried the muscle formula. They didn't have it the last time I used Body Glide -- or the formula with sunscreen, which would be great for AZ.
I'm interested in the muscle one though, if you try it let me know
I only do about 3-4 miles when I run now, as I haven't done marathon training or events in about 10 years.
I'll occasionally do a 5 or 10K just for shits, kicks and giggles, but I'm not as serious about them anymore. I would rather be in the gym, -- especially when it's 115 outside.
Must be my old age, it didn't used to bother me to run in 110+ heat
I can still hike in it, but that's about it. |
